Evaluation

Over the past few weeks we have been looking at music video production in hope to create a music video for this assignment. Are first mini assignment which we had was to create a lip synching video to a song of Barry Manilow, this was our first idea in which we managed to get done in the day provided , we worked well as a team and managed to create something good. We then moved onto the main project of making a music video. Before we even thought about making a music video we had to think about making a song. Most of the people in our group could play an instrument and half said that they had been in a band; we thought that this would give us a head start but we decided not to make and perform a song we decided to use the Mac program garage band. Garage band was much more easy to use as they already had over 500 hundred pre-set music beats. From garage band we managed to create a song which was fairly good, one of our group had come up with an idea and had made a song and so from there we added stuff to his original idea. Quite soon after that lesson we had then come up with an idea for a music video which involved someone being mugged and from this we would follow onto are music video. A couple of weeks later we started thinking about the lyrics. The main person who dealt with the lyrics was Gareth but we all chipped in. With are music sorted and are lyrics made up we then had to think about putting the 2 together, unfortunately we did not manage to get our final piece of music done until the week when we were filming are music video. On the week when we were recording our music video we came up with a big problem in which we didn’t have our music together, we then got told that we could not use the music recording area as it was being used. We then came up with the idea of using the radio studio, when we checked the radio studio wasn’t being used and so we quickly used it and then we edited the song together in the same morning, we then went out for the rest of that week recording are music video. The week after, we edited it together resulting in a very good first music video.


We then got are video viewed in front of the whole class and we then got a response form to fill in with our class mates views. Some of the good points people liked about are video was Gareth and how he was a good actor, we also got given credit for having an extremely good narrative, we also got given credit for are wacky, crazy shots we had produced. The overall comment in which people said was that they liked the pace of the video.

Some of the weaker areas people spoke about were the lip synching and how it wasn’t in time which is fair enough as it wasn’t in time and we did our very best to make sure that it was in time but it didn’t seem to be enough. The other 2 things in which people said were that there weren’t enough close ups of people’s faces, there wasn’t much facial expression going on, they also said which I agree with was that the fight scene wasn’t realistic enough as you could see that I wasn’t hitting him.

With the use of cinematography people commented and said how they like the 360 view of me, they also said that they enjoy the head round the corner as it was a close up which was rare in our video. With uses of props people enjoyed the uses of the fridges and how they were strategically placed for use to hide behind.

People also enjoyed the use of our editing, they thought the camera placement was good, and the rhythm and pace of the music was good. Things that could be improved upon was they wanted more POV shots and as I said earlier the fight scene was dodgy.

The suitability of the visuals to the music and lyrics people thought there was a fair reference but could of had more to do with it as there was not a huge amount. Again with the response to the grief people said that they thought it did meet some of the requirements and they didn’t do a bad job. With production values and editing techniques people said that they were alright as they had done a good job with the camera placements but could do with more props and more thought into what to wear, and just generally to get more shots. The suitability to the genre of music was very good as people thought that the music went well with the visuals and enjoyed it. The suitability of creating a bands or artists image they said that the overall band could o with a few more members as there were not enough people involved in the music video. People also said which I thought was a major thing was that the target audience was perfect as the type of music and music video was perfect for the audience.

I was involved with many things such as making the lyrics, directing the video, recording the lyrics, making the music. A lot of the stuff we had done together but my main role was helping with the editing with Rob as we thought it would be a good idea to keep at least 2 people on the editing.

My contribution to the team was fairly important as I helped out with the paper work and keeping everyone on track with what they are doing. I think overall I could do with being a bit more involved with the group as I did not do much as I felt I was not pushing myself into the group enough.

I learnt a lot from this assignment something being a learnt to use innovative camera angles as well as intriguing camera techniques, I also learned about how to compress things to go onto YouTube I found this difficult and still find it difficult to do but I am getting there with it.

Are overall technical quality was good as we had an extremely good pace and a extremely good song, but if I could do the project again I would change are fight scene as this was not very good and could of been done much better, I would also change what we were wearing as Rob had put in good effort with the cloths he was wearing but we just wore what we had on.

Are use of editing was good and are use of cinematography was fairly good as well as we had a good range and variety of shots. Are misc-en scene was pretty good as well as we used the 3 fridges which were very useful as they worked well in the video. Are narrative was good as well as it flowed from each shot plus it was engaging as well.

Are ideas came across really well actually more than anything else as it was easy to see what the ideas were. We could improve on a great many things but the main one I think was the props as there was no were near enough props and nor was there any good costumes. Are project responded well to the brief as we had produced a music video in which we had use video production techniques.

Things that went right on the day were the weather; the main thing for our group was getting our ideas out of our heads and onto the camera. Things that went wrong on the day were the camera as the camera batteries were not charged up resulting in us going and getting a very short amount of footages and then having to come all the way back to get new batteries.

Are project compares reasonably to real work as it has a good story line, but there are many things in our music video that were not up to industry standard, like for example the range of shots which you used and our editing techniques as there are not a huge amount of video techniques used in our music video.

My overall opinion of the work is good actually because I liked the range of shots we used and I esically enjoyed the ideas in which we put into are overall idea, things I would do differently next time would be to get a wider range of shots and not include a fight scene.

Individual Work

Synopsis


When I listen to the song we have created the genre of our song is a rock song, a sort of beastie boys type music, which then makes me think what comes under this genre of music or more specifically what is the music videos like. Usually in this type of genre there are a lot of movement and not much standing around. What I propose to do is that the music sounds like there is a chase going on, at the beginning of the song there is a jazz bit which reminds me of old Americans times in 1940’s, a time of al Capone sort of thing. The idea I thought of is a man sitting in a bar enjoying a drink and a smoke when a policeman enters and sees the man, the man just glances from his drink to the man and realises who it is and then jumps and makes a break for the door and gets it, at this point the bass will have started and the man is now trying to get away from the cop. The cop isn’t dressed as a policeman but is dressed like an inspector. Throughout the video the man is trying desperately to escape, encountering 2 more inspectors, for the final scene we will see the man is cornered but then confronts the men and manages to get away in a car.

Treatment

Throughout the whole of the video it will all be in black and white, with a lot of wide shots and Long shots as well as medium Long Shot. The misc-en-scene will be a tough one as it is in black and white and so there isn’t much colour. However we will record things that have light shinning off of them as these will be made white in the edit. When editing we will put a filter on to make it black and white we will also make sure that most of our cuts will be reasonably spaced out between cuts. The quick cuts which we are using will be effective with our upbeat tempo plus we will also make sure the cuts are in time with the music. For the shot types which we will use, as I said earlier we will use wide shots and long shots, but we will also be using other types of shots as well, for example we will use a tilt to illustrate that the man is running away and that the world is an up hill climb. We will also use tracking shot where the actor is running towards the camera but as well as the camera moving back as well. I also think it would be a good idea to use Point of view shots to show what the position of the person is in. For shot length I would like to have some longer shots and not just have quick cuts to and from the action. With the movement in the shot I would like there to be lots of different shots showing the movement of the man running. I would also like there to be movement of the camera itself following the movement on screen. To add more effects and range of camera angles you could use high and low angle shots, for example you could have a shot of the man running away and place the camera on a bridge and as the man runs under the bridge you follow him with the camera. With the locations you can have a bridge where you can record on the bridge, for other locations you can use the suburbs where you can get a range of dodgy areas. Finally you can also use the docks in Ipswich as the final scene where the man gets away.

Interactive Media Report

Interactive media is changing the face of the way we live, from Music right the way across to advertisements. Interactive media is basically a way of interfacing the audience of a particular media experience and involving them in the process, a good example of this is the iPod touch, as this is giving the user a way of interfacing with the machine itself. A lot of media is interactive as I have said the Apple iPod is very interactive, in fact one of the reasons why it was so successful was because it was so interactive with thousands of different applications each having a different interactive experience.

All of the following are Platforms for Video in Interactive Media

The first interactive media which I’m going to talk about is the World Wide Web, otherwise known as the internet. The internet has become an interactive heaven, as there are so many websites which gets the audience involved. Some of the most recent most successful website is blog websites, with a blog you can talk about what you are doing or just talk about a subject which you know about. One of the most famous of these blog websites is Facebook. Facebook is a social networking site which has been hugely successful. Facebook is an online blog in which you can show people photos, videos and just generally talk to each other. You can also play games with each other and spread the word on how well you done in the game. However there are drawbacks with this interactivity on Facebook, the first and main being is that sometimes you do not know who you are talking to as there is no way of knowing if you meet a stranger if they are who they say they are. The second being is that anyone can look at your profile and see information about you. As I said earlier the web has changed the face of interactive media one of the most well known website is YouTube. YouTube is an interactive video service which is free. The basic format for YouTube is for its users to post videos and to view, rate or comment on other people’s videos. Again this is very interactive as people can post what they think of a video leaving a comment about it. The final part of the internet which I am talking about is ITunes, ITunes is a very useful music interactive media as it allows the user to go and listen to the song and then buy the song as well. It does not just do this with music it does it with videos as well however you cannot watch it first. Again this is a hugely successful interactive music download.

Another form of interactive media is the e-mail. The e-mail itself is not very interactive but the e-mail attachments usually are. Sometimes when you get an e-mail you will get an attachment, some of the time these attachments are photos and or advertisements. This is very common in these days as lots of companies will send you advertisements for their product to try and get you to buy it, the more interactivity in it then the more likely to sell. Most E-mail attachments are usually spam which basically means rubbish. The spam e-mail is one of the most common e-mails in the UK as it affects everyone. Some e-mails have viruses which can harm your computer and can cause your computer to stop working.

The DVD is an extraordinary way of holding data that can be accessed again and again. The DVD can hold up to 17.08 GB and at its lowest can hold 4.7. The DVD is most successful in the Movie industry as after several months of a film being at the cinema it will be released on DVD for the publics viewing and service. On DVD’s you will usually get an interactive menu where you can choose what you want to do, you can choose to look at extras on the DVD on how the movie was made, this again is interactive. The DVD is being rapidly replaced though by the new type of disc, the Blu-Ray disc. The Blu-Ray disc has many advantages over the normal DVD, one of the main advantages of the Blu-Ray disc is the fact that it can hold nearly 3 times more than a DVD, this is a crucial advantage as in doing this it can have a better quality picture plus have much more interactive extras on the disc. The CD-Rom has many purposes and can be used for many different things, for example music, videos, and generally just holding information. CD-Rom’s today are commonly used for holding data for computers like backing up information. They can also be used for educational purposes. There are companies that develop educational lessons which are put on DVD’s and then you can interact with them. These are really interactive as today the programs are not just simply saying where you have gone wrong it will also analysis where you are going wrong and will give you ideas on how to adapt your answers to the correct one. Home learning is usually associated with the CD-Rom; a good example of a home learning company is Home learning college.

Kiosks are a publically open computer terminal which allows the public themselves to access the terminal. Kiosks provide a wide range of services from accessing the internet, getting a telephone number and sometimes they are Kiosks that will allow you to access you bank account and exchange funds. Many Nations have installed kiosks, the British government have installed kiosks in London but these kiosks are not for getting on the internet they are for jobs. The job kiosks searches around the area and looks for jobs vacancies and if there is one it will allow you to send an e mail to the company applying for the job. The advantages of this is that it gives the opportunity for people looking for jobs to look at a company and see if there are any jobs going. Some of the disadvantages is that they may charge you to look for jobs and if there aren’t any then it is money wasted.

Presentations are very interactive as they are trying to put your view across and by doing this if you get the audience involved then the more likely you are to succeed. The most famous of all presentation methods is Microsoft’s PowerPoint. PowerPoint is a very simple and easy way of making a presentation and showing your points as well, some of the downfall with Microsoft PowerPoint is that you have to take time out to make you very own presentation; this can be very time consuming. On up the up side it can look brilliant and really effective, plus you can also put your notes on what you want to talk about in the presentation.

The television has taken over the homes of Britain as most homes now have one. The major TV channels are now offering a free service in which if you have free view or sky or free sat you now have privileges to press the red button. The red button allows you to access News, Weather and best of all extra content of the program you are watching. Today the red button can be pressed during sport matches like football, when you have pressed the red button you will be able to find an alternative match. You will also be able to look at the premier, championship and other league tables as well. Again the red button also does the same thing with Tennis. With the Tennis you will be able to look at one court but if you push the red button again you will be able to see highlight of another match. The red button isn’t just for sport, it can also be used for Saturday night programs. The red button on Saturday night programs will give you extra entertainment, for example in the program Strictly Come Dancing you can push the red button and you will be able to get extra information about the program. There have been many uses of the red button from just general information to games, right to a sing along with the program. There are many advantages to this one being is that if you enjoy a program you can keep on enjoying it through the red button, one of the major disadvantages is that it is fairly slow and can feel quite clumsy.

Mobile Phone devices have recently been changed by the release of Apples IPhone. The IPhone has sold over 20 Million copies worldwide. It has changed the way in which the mobile phone works, as the iphone has got over 50,000 applications. The iphone is cable of holding various video files which it can access. One of the iphone’s major applications is that it can access the internet but not only can it access the internet it can go onto websites such as YouTube and Facebook. Again because of its internet activity it has become more interactive as you can talk to people on it as well as watching video content on your mobile.

Short films had major effect on the media industry in the 1990’s but in today’s world there is not a market for them as there is nowhere for them to be showed, the cinema would not show them as they are getting more money from bigger movies, they can’t be sold as individuals as again no one would buy them. Luckily there is a market for them today; this market is the internet as it is perfect for short films. There are many websites that will allow video content to be broadcasted on their websites such as YouTube, Google video, yahoo video and many more. All of these are the perfect market for short films as they can now been shown on the internet free of charge and people can access them whenever they want to.

Promotional Material such as bill boards and TV advertising are all trying to get you to buy their product, they way they do this is by trying to get the viewer involved or by trying to be interactive. There are many good examples of good adverts which get the viewer interested and stimulated but one example would be the Hovis advert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4tFzuFGUOI. This advert gets the viewer involved and makes the viewer feel like they are the kid running around, it also makes them think about the years in which are portrayed in the ad.

Film Trailers are for promotional purposes only having said that they are fairly interactive as they are trying to get the viewer to come and watch the movie. The websites of movies are extremely clever as they are again trying to get you to come and see the film but they also want you to enjoy the website as well, I recently went onto the Alice in Wonderland website and it has many different things you can do such as playing games and even making your own poster by using the characters themselves. The trailer itself is usually released on the internet such as places like YouTube, Facebook or Google video, they release the trailers on the internet first as more people will see them as they will spread around Facebook and YouTube very quickly.

User generated content is material on websites which is made by the users. One of the most famous user generated content on the internet is the video website YouTube. YouTube has over 5 million users, most of those users are uploading videos of themselves or their friends onto YouTube. A famous success story of someone on YouTube is Andy McKee. Andy McKee posted a video of himself playing the guitar in a very special way, now he has a recording contract and is making music for a living. There are pros and cons for user generated content the pros being is that you could get famous or just have over 1 million views, the cons being is that people could post things saying that it is rubbish.

Viral Marketing is meaning awareness, awareness of your product and how you make it aware. A group of famers done just that when they posted a video on YouTube called extreme sheep herding, this was them trying to show how good they are at sheep herding, plus it is also advertising themselves to the audience. Advertising using video’s is usually very common on TV but is also used on Web Pages as well. Some advertisements will be played just before a flash player video will start however some will be played at the side of webpage, either way the company still gets advertisements. A good example of advertisements is in the newly formed music supplier Soptify. Spotify is a free music access player where the user can go onto Spotify and search for music they want to listen to. This is a brilliant idea as the company is getting money by advertising every 2 or 3 songs. The pros for this is that you can get music for free, the bad side of this software is that you will get interrupted which is annoying and disrupting.

The Virtual Reality Tour is a simulation of and existing place, this is a very successful multimedia tool as it allows you to look at real locations without being there. A grand example of a virtual reality tour is Google maps. Google maps allow the viewer to look around the globe at various locations at a free rate. This is a good idea as the viewer if he/she is going out can check where about they are going. There are disadvantages which have come up in recent events, Google street view is what all the fuss is about as this allows the user to look at peoples houses and see what they are like, and people have argued that it is not right and that they are invading the privacy law.

Games are a realistic idea where the user can play as a person in the game allowing them to control their every move and move through the person life. Games can be found on the internet and on games console like the Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii. There have been many debates as to recent games as some games involve explicit content, one game in particular is the latest in the Call Of Duty games “Modern Warfare 2” where you play as a terrorist organisation taking over a airport in Russia. Many issues have been brought up about how killing innocent people should not be allowed in games. Having said that there are good points to games as well, the Nintendo Wii has got the most copies sold of a game ever, this game being Wii play.

E-Learning stands for electronic learning, which is basically learning from the internet or from a computer. E-Learning is a way in which a person can learn independently and by themselves. There are many E-Learning websites where you can download or even send an application form off and then you can get CD’s with learning software on. The advantages of E-learning are that you can work from your own comfort in your own time and not having to worry about keeping to schedule. Some of the disadvantages are that this could potentially put teachers out of jobs; another disadvantage is that the CD itself does not monitor your learning times or it doesn’t analysis how you are getting on and where you are going wrong. Some of the more expensive versions of E-Learning are capable of analysing but these are usually online learning which is completely done over the internet.

Video compression is used to cut down the size of videos so that they can go onto internet sites such as YouTube, this is a simple method but very effective as the video itself can then be put onto the internet and let the whole world see. Some of the advantages of this are that the world can see and that you can share it with your friends, some of the disadvantages are that the quality of the video will be much less.

CODEC is a big part of video in interactive media technologies as the CODEC is what allows ever type of video format to be played on a PC or a Mac. In every single type of media format like, mpeg, avi, mov, and wmv there is a codec. The codec is what allows the file to be played by the computer this is both using what media player and whether or not it can be played. The media industry relies on this codec as without people can access it without paying for it. Online illegal downloads is letting the film and TV industries go down in value as people are illegally downloading films and TV programs without paying for them. There are various illegal websites which manage to get a copy of the product and then change the codec on them; the codec is then used for another piece of software in which you can download.

Streaming and downloading are 2 completely separate things but both do the same thing. Streaming is a shortened version of the download, the download is when you find content and then you may if you wish download this content and keep it, the problem with the download is that it tries to get the whole content in one go, this can be alright with smaller content such as music and photos but can get tricky with videos. Videos are difficult to download as they can be really big files and with an average internet connection of 8 mbps it could take a while. This is where streaming comes in, a much easier and faster way of watching videos. Streaming works by sending the computer small segments, the computer will interpret these segments as a video and will allow you to watch the video online without having to wait long. One of the most famous streaming websites is YouTube, YouTube has become so successful because it was the first website to really put forward the idea of streaming. There are disadvantages to both streaming and downloads some being that downloads take more time but you do get to keep the content, disadvantages of streaming is that if lots of people are using the same website it can take longer to stream content.

As I have mentioned earlier there are many interactive video formats such as MPEG, AVI, MOV and WMV. MPEG stand for Moving picture experts group, this is used with both Mac and PC but is more commonly known with Macs. AVI stands for Audio video interleave, again this is commonly used with PC’s but again can also be used with Macs. MOV is a special type of which can only be opened with one program and that is QuickTime. Finally WMV Windows Media Video, this is used with PC’s a lot but is occasionally used with Macs as well. All of these types of video formats all work and all have the advantages and disadvantages such as MOV only being able to be played on QuickTime, but the competition still goes on as to which is the best video format.

Data Transfer Rates or otherwise known as bandwidth is used in most households as it is the amount of information that is being passed through your internet. The way in which this is measured is through kilo bits per second or kbps, it can also be measured in mega bits per second (mbps), giga bits per second (gbps) and finally terra bits per second (tbps). Kbps is a rather slow connection and would take you a while to download anything decent. Mbps is a much faster connection and would take a fairly short amount of time, gbps would nearly be instant depending on what you are downloading, if you were downloading a movie it would take a couple of seconds but if it was tbps practically everything you would download would be done in a second.

Frame Rates are the way in which video is created. When a video is played it is not just a single shot, the video is made up of single photos which are speed up to 24 photos per second however this is only for TV, in Film it is 25 photos per second this is because this is the maximum number of the frames the eye can see per second. There have also been other frame rates as well such as 60i which can produce 29 frames per
second.

Screen resolution is the amount of pixels which are on the screen at any one time. The lowest of these screen resolution is standard definition which is shown as 576i. Recently there have been developments in that you can have more pixels on the screen at any given time. This is where high definition comes in. High definition comes from more pixels being put onto the screen, the highest form of high definition at the moment is 1080p which basically means that there are 1920 pixels wide with 1080 pixels high, the high definition or HD has become quite successful as there are now channels that are broadcasted HD plus it has again been successful in films with the HD quality Blu-Ray disc which can hold up to 100gb which means that there can be almost 3 times the information than on a normal DVD.

File sizes of films can vary due to the Length or quality. As I have mentioned earlier there are Blu-ray discs that can hold much more data than a normal DVD, this is more a way of holding the file sizes rather than altering them. The file size of a standard definition movie of which is around 2 hours will probably take up around 4GB; this file size can be increased by the length of the film. If the film was 3 hours long then the size of the film will increase to 6GB. But there is another way in which the file size can increase and this is by the quality of the images in each frame. This is more likely to make the size of the film increase. If the film had been increased to a HD standard and it was still 2 hours long the film would then be taking up around 20-30GB and possibly more. Recently there has been a release of UHDV this is an extremely very good quality picture at round about 7,680 by 4,320 pixels which is nearly 7 times high definition.

Picture ratios are the width and the height of what is on screen, there are many different types of screen aspect ratios the most common today is 16:9 but about 10 years ago on TV it would have been 4:3. Today there are many aspect ratios but films will either be using 1.85:1 or 2.39:1. Some of the advantages in having a wider screen is that you can see more but the problem is that if something is recorded in 4:3 it cannot be changed into 16:9.

Digital rights managements is basically the trading of goods. If a company has created a film and want to sell it then another company can say we would like to buy that film. If the company buys the film then they have the right to show the film on TV or at the cinema to make a profit. There is also talk about copy right as well as when you buy the product you are not allowed to make another one but you are allowed to show people it. A good example of this is Spotify, Spotify allows the user to access Spotify’s music database and listen to music but not buy them. This is how Spotify have made money by buying songs and getting money from advertising and by people buying the songs.

Media players are extremely common in these days as lots of companies have created video formats and somewhere to play them on. The DVD is hardware where you can put your video or just general information, the DVD has been very successful from its previous format the video tape as the DVD could hold more information and the video itself would not ware away. BBC Iplayer is a way of watching TV or videos on the internet without paying money towards them; Iplayer is software in which the BBC upload videos of programs which are embedded onto a website which then allows the viewer to watch the program quickly and easily. A disadvantage of this is that you are not getting the program and it can only be accessed by computers so you will have to watch it on a smaller screen. QuickTime is again software which is run on your computer but it does not have a selection of videos to browse through, for QuickTime you will need a video format of MOV to access the software. Windows Media Player is again similar to QuickTime in that it can only be activated by a MPEG or another type of file otherwise you will not have anything to watch. Real player is a media player which allows the user to go onto the internet and browse at video content, it can play most video formats such as QuickTime, MPEG and many more. Some of the advantages in this is that it has many features.

Embedded video is another way of using a media player without having to open up a new window. This in itself is an advantage of embedded video, a disadvantage of embedded video is that you cannot download it, again if there are many people on that website then it will take longer for it to load. One of the most successful websites for embedded videos is YouTube, YouTube allows the user to view the content but also it allows the user to copy the video and embedded it onto one of your internet pages.
Video tagging is something a lot of people use as it shows people what is in the video and what they thought of it. Movies at cinemas also can be tagged as well as being a sci-fi, horror or other genres of film. A good example of video tagging is on the social networking website Facebook where people will tag themselves in a video or will just say who is in the video.

Lip Syncing




In our Lip Syncing Project we got given a song of a certain artist and then we had to go out and record some footage to make a music video. The main objective for this project was to edit our recording exactly in time with the music. This was practice for our making of the real music video. To start off with got given our song which was "weekend in new England" but we then asked if we could change this to "Mandy". Once we had our song we thought it would be a good idea to put the song onto a portable device so that we could listen to the song and how the tune goes because we did not have a ipod lead we recorded it to my phone which did not have a great sound quality but we could make out what it was saying. We then went to Alexendra park round the back of the college and then we started to film our lip syncing. We new that the song was a slow boy band song plus we had all boys in our group so we decided to go with a boy band type video. One of our chorus we recorded was us standing by the side of each other, you could say that we took this from boy bands like westlife and boyzone, so we did use intertextuality. Most of our shots were mid shots which were used in the chorus but we did have one wide shot of a tree to open and close our video.

Later in the day once we had got all of our shots we then moved onto editing. In editing we had to make slugs which would help us to keep in time with the song and so we could then put our clips into the track much easier. While making the song we came up with a problem as we could not get rid of the sound we recorded in the clips, but we then realised that you have to lock each track of sound or video, so once we locked the video footage we could then delete.
